LUX Helsinki

the blue dream

concept

ARTISHOK.ME was engaged to provide the missing structural elements required for participation in the LUX Helsinki 2026. Our role focused on securing a venue, integrating a lighting designer, and coordinating communication between all participants in extremely tight deadlines.

challenge

The main challenge was the last-minute confirmation of participation in LUX Helsinki. The client lacked time, infrastructure, and existing partnerships needed to meet the festival’s conditions and to align artists, designers, and a venue into a single working system.

solution

ARTISHOK.ME initiated the collaboration with The Blue Verve Art Gallery. We brought in specialists from our network such as lighting and sound designers, and an electrician. We wove these together and supported the whole team throughout the process, ensuring that the artworks were set up on time.

an immersive, two-room installation where light, sculpture, and photography merge into a living, sensorial narrative

Blue Dream was conceived as a living artwork — an experience outside linear time. The installation transformed the gallery into a sensorial organism, where space, light, artworks, and the public merge into a single, evolving whole.

Room 1, “Blueshift”: An installation of subtle blue gradients and spatial vibrations evoke a living horizon — a fragile threshold between approach and distance, presence and absence.

Room 2, “My Eyes Have Seen You”: An intimate encounter unfolds: a luminous image and the sculptural figure “You and Me” face one another through shifting blue and silver light.

outcome

The collaboration enabled the artists to present the installation within Finland’s largest light festival. The light designer successfully showcased their expertise in a complex, high-level project, using the festival as a strong entry point into the Finnish market. The gallery significantly increased visitor flow during the festival period.

The team was invited to LUX side events, connected with organizers and other participants, and established valuable relationships for future collaborations. The project received public and media exposure through the festival’s official channels, strengthening visibility and professional standing of all involved.
